Bring your OCs more fully to life through character building and world development. We will focus on different techniques for communicating ideas through iconography, composition, and framing, while building a narrative and complex world. This four part series will help you hone your visual narrative skills and give you the tools to tell a compelling story. Experience in drawing characters is a plus. Bring your own OC idea or create one in class.
This class series is taught by talented artist and experienced youth instructor Ingrid Wiemer. Ticket price includes more than $180 in supplies so that each participant can continue to develop their Original Characters at home. Keep an eye out for more classes to come on narrative illustration, storyboarding, etc., to build out all the skills required for comics, cartooning, and manga.
We do not think financial barriers should prohibit people from participation in arts education. We are hoping to fund one scholarship slot for each class. If you are in a position to give towards that fund, there is an option to partially or fully fund a scholarship when you register. If you want to take the class, but cannot afford the full registration, please email whitney@oddnodd.com
This four-day class meets in the back room of Odd Nodd from 2-5pm on the following Wednesdays: June 24th, July 1st, July 8th, and July 15th.
Limit 8 people
