Cartooning: Head Shapes & Expressions with Dennis Preston 

Wednesday, June 10th, 3-5pm

A Simple, fun workshop about using 7 basic shapes to create heads on original cartoon characters. Also covered are tips on how to draw a few expressions to add some life to your characters. This is a B&W workshop using pen & paper.  All supplies will be provided, and will go home with you.

Dennis Preston is a renowned Lansing-based freelance illustrator and former instructor of Humorous Illustration at LCC. In the early 70s he was well known for designing iconic concert posters. You can often see his work on the covers of The City Pulse and local festival posters.

Limit 8 students. We expect this class to sell out, so don’t wait to register!

We do not think financial barriers should prohibit people from participation in arts education. We are hoping to fund one scholarship slot for each class. If you are in a position to give towards that fund, there is an option to partially or fully fund a scholarship when you register.
