The Tote Art Contest:

Submissions are tagged #oddnoddtote on Facebook and Instagram.

We made some amazing canvas Odd Nodd tote bags to carry all your art supplies, but we left most of the bag completely blank. We want to see what you come up with to decorate the bags with your own artwork! Your tote art could win you up to a $200 gift card!

Decorate your official Odd Nodd Canvas Tote Bag (Jumbo or Super Jumbo Size) and your tote entry will be posted on our social media. The posts which receive the most reactions will determine the finalists, and then the Odd Nodd team will choose winners from the finalist pool. Winners will receive Odd Nodd Gift Cards! Winning totes will also be featured on our social media and get a mention in our monthly newsletter.

New this year: 

• Top ten entries will all receive a gift card, as determined by social media reactions (the Odd Nodd team will rank the final winners from these 10).
• People’s Choice Winner We will have in-store voting this year and the winner will receive a $100 gift card. 
• Best Tote by a Youth Artist is a new category for artists 12 years old and younger; the winner will be chosen by Odd Nodd staff. Winner will receive a $25 gift card

Please make sure to answer yes to the "12 and under Youth Artist" question if you're submitting on behalf of a young artist.

Deadline for entry submissions is 11:59pm April 30th Monday, May 6th. Read the full rules below.

• Beginning the week of May 1st May 6th we will post submissions on our social media (Facebook and Instagram). The finalists will be determined by the combined total amount of reactions (likes, etc) on their individual posted pictures or polls. Voting will end and votes will be tabulated on the end of the day May 19th May 25th. Winners will be announced later that week. (Be sure to share *the link to our posts* to your followers -- don't just share our post, because we can't count any reactions that aren't on our original post.)
• Submissions will be tagged #oddnoddtote on Facebook and Instagram and voting will be cut off on 10pm EST May 19th May 25th. We will tabulate post reacts/votes at that time.
• From the top 10 finalists as determined by public voting/post reacts, the Odd Nodd team will then rank and choose the winners: $200 gift card first prize, $75 gift card second prize, $25 gift card third prize, fourth through tenth $10 gift card, and 1st prize Youth Artist will receive a $25 gift card. Winners will be announced the week following May 19th May 25th!
• There will be one additional $100 prize for People’s Choice for in-store voting, applicable to all contestants who entered. You can stop in the store during the voting period to vote for your favorite entry. One vote per person per day. Note: Entries winning People’s Choice does not preclude the entry from winning any other awards.

Tips:

• The bags are heavyweight cotton canvas, the same type of cotton canvas painters have been using for years. If you want to prepare the canvas to take paint without bleeding through, gesso can be applied and will provide a white base.
• Posca Acrylic Markers are amazing and work great on almost any surface!
• Placing a piece of cardboard or heavy board in the canvas bag, along with some clips to hold it, will prevent paint from bleeding through to the other side and provide a flat work surface.
• We love creativity! Don’t feel like you’re limited to only painting your tote; dying, applique, sewing, block printing, etc, are all welcomed; as long as the tote remains in some form which can be carried on your person, your submission qualifies. Either side of the tote can be used.
• Feel free to share and link to your tote submission when we post it, and tag friends and family to receive more votes! But, keep in mind reaction votes only count on our original post, because we cannot (usually) view shared posts so they will not count for votes!

Art Tote Contest Rules:

1. Submissions must be on our official Odd Nodd canvas tote bags. Using either the blank side or logo side is acceptable. Either bag size (Jumbo or Super Jumbo) is also acceptable.
2. Subject matter or imagery must not contain copyrighted/trademarked/licensed material. Meaning: No Disney  characters, video game characters, or other images that will have the submission taken down by the copyright holder. Make it original!
3. Do not submit the same entry more than once.
4. One submission per person per year. 
5. Submissions are open to anyone using an Odd Nodd Tote, student or non-student, adult or child. No age limits.
6. Prizes must be picked up in-store, they will not be shipped.
7. Artists/Submissions retain all rights to artwork created. However, by submitting to us you agree that Odd Nodd has permission to use the images/artwork on our social media and promotional posts.
